This is why I side eye the fuck out of fat fetishes.

Well for one fetishes are the sexual attraction to OBJECTS of BODY PARTS that ARE NOT normally seen as SEXUAL.

I just have many conflicting feelings. Because, you have that definition but people use fetish as a very colloquial term for just anything they enjoy extensively sexually.

But there is always this underlining context that fat fetish is the first. Societal context. The stigmatization. The pejoratives that surround fatness. And the fetish of fat people will always make me uncomfortable.

I am watching that show Strange Sex. And of course they have to have an episode about a Fat Admirer and his fat girlfriend because of course it’s STRANGE to be aroused by a fat woman.

But what makes me side eye the FUCK out of Fat Admirers that are involved in Fat Fetishes is how they talk about their partners.

“I love the fat.”

“I love how I get to handle all of IT.”

“I love how IT moves.”

“I love how IT gets bigger and you never know where IT will get bigger.”

“I love how I get to wash IT. I love how IT swings and I get to push up on IT.”

There is this clear separation between the person and the fat.

There is this isolation. This division. And objectification. And where suddenly we are just “ITS” and not people.

Where is the person? There is a person attached to this body.

Fat people are not just fat and to treat our bodies like it stops just there is really dehumanizing and really fucking disgusting and we see this sexually and in other bodily autonomy contexts like health.

And I have no time for people who are not going to take the time to criticize this kind of bullshit. Who aren’t willing to admit that there is a difference between exploring sexual attractions in a healthy manner and objectifying another persons body for your sexual gratification and that there is a big fucking problem with this.

Fat does not equal easy.

Being fat DOES NOT mean you’re unhealthy and are going to die young. Yes, there are unhealthy fat people, but guess what THERE ARE ALSO UNHEALTHY THIN PEOPLE.

People are so fucking stupid it’s ridiculous.

There are healthy and unhealthy people of ALL body types and sizes.

I am not obligated to be skinny.
